Meet Female DJ Toxiq.
Nigeria’s entertainment industry is undoubtedly a male-dominated one, but one female Disc Jockey (DJ), music producer, and singer, DJ Toxiq, has decided to do the extraordinary and compete with the Men without holding back.
DJ Toxiq
And she’s fast proving that what a man can do, a woman can do too. As a producer, she has worked with the likes of Pasuma Wonder, producing nine tracks on his newly released hip hop album. Phyno, Lace, 9ice, Yemi Black, Frankie Free, among others are also some of her clients.
Her versatility and industriousness have, thankfully, not gone unnoticed. She was made one of the heroes in the recent Guinness Made of Black campaign. Right now, she’s working on her yet-to- be-titled EP album, even as all is set for her to release her debut single.
According to her handlers, DJ Toxiq, will enlist the support of established artistes such as Olamide, Skales, Orezi, among others for the anticipated EP. And with the buzz it has generated in the industry so far, it is surely an album to look forward to.
